PROJECT SUMMARY:
Standard Bank is one of South Africa’s largest financial services groups, and operates across several African countries and other international markets
The brief was to upgrade the under-utilized employee canteen on the ground floor of the Standard Bank head office in Rosebank addressing key user experience strategies as well as Interior design and service concept. The focus was on creating a “third place” which encouraged interaction across various employee hierarchies by becoming the preferred “place” to go over alternatives in the area. The trick in tackling this large volume was to create an anchor that held across various service needs and users throughout the day and night. Space includes casual dining, formal private dining, a grab-and-go deli and a fully licensed bar for after-work drinks.
